The first thing, the name
When someone or something is born, the first instinct is to give them a name, an identity.
For Grisel.la and May, this matter is important.
They were looking for a name that defined, as closely as possible, the pillars of their project.
It had to be endowed with balance, sincerity, love for what is done, learning, dedication, and most importantly, life. Additionally, it had to be a name that reflected the feeling that this project produced in them, happiness.
That’s how ASHA came about.
What meanings does it have?
Different meanings are attributed to this word depending on the language of origin:
For one of the oldest Indo-European languages, Avestan, the term Asha is a principle of Zoroastrianism (related to Zarathustra) that means “truth,” “justice or order,” and can be translated as “that which is bound appropriately, in its proper place”
In Sanskrit, Asha means “hope,” “desire,” and “expectation.”
In the Swahili language, Asha means “life”
And in Hebrew, the term asher means “happy”.
Therefore, with everything seen, we can say that “Territorio Asha is a consciously made space for your comfort, in a suitable place for contact with nature, where the desire to experience the same thing differently will grow your expectations when choosing your rest and disconnection and thus, filling your time with the life that makes you happy”

Sustainability
Every day more and more people are aware of the importance of caring for nature and the environment for the sustainability and balance of the planet.
This concern makes one of the values that Territorio Asha wants to convey to be
We work to create a space that is friendly to nature, sustainable and ecological.
The entire house is powered by solar panels, a clean way to obtain energy.
The house has a beautiful fireplace that heats the 70 m² living room.
The bedroom furniture is made of ecological wood.
The house disinfection products and amenities are ecological and natural products.
In the renovation work that has been carried out, used materials have been used and converted to give them a new use (railings, windows, access door to the room, among others)
From here, we encourage the use of single-use containers to give them a new use, and if not possible, we encourage recycling, providing colored bins so that each object is in its proper place. That being said, the purpose of Territorio Asha is to achieve 0% non-biodegradable waste.
The next objectives are: to change the boiler system that supplies hot water (bathrooms, kitchen, and heating) to the house with a sustainable one and to add automation to help with energy efficiency.
Respect
One of the rules of Territorio Asha is “Treat the world and its inhabitants as you want to be treated.” Respecting nature, animals, people, and the environment is a fundamental condition for being an “Asher”.
Diversity
The world is composed of infinite colors, as many as the imagination can reach, and more. That variety is precisely what enriches everything.
At Territorio Asha, it is very important to note that there are as many models of families as there are people, and that needs are changing for each family. Therefore, our arms are open to diversity and social inclusion. Whatever your family model is, you will be welcomed here.
Development
Promoting both territorial and human development is one of the most ambitious goals that Territorio Asha wants to achieve. Knowledge is the door that opens towards a more sustainable and balanced future. Therefore, learning is part of the project through various training, workshops, thematic days, collaborative concentrations or coworking. We learn as we move forward, and we improve as we learn.
